Kylee is a violin student at Moon School of Music and was nominated by Mr. Matthew Gardner for July Student of the Month. Congratulations!
"Kylee has shown great enthusiasm and initiative since she started violin. Her focus to details and love for music has helped her improve quickly. A couple months ago she joined the DC Youth Orchestra, and she performed in an outdoor concert this month. She loves to watch violin videos on social media, and become a part of the musical world. She is a wonderful student with much potential."

How long have you been playing your instrument?
I have been playing my musical instrument since September of 2020.
What type of music do you like to listen to?
I like to listen to all different types of music, but my favorites are hip hop and classical music.
What is your favorite subject at school?
My favorite subject is science because of the hands-on experiments I get to do in class.
Who is your favorite musician? Why?
It has to be H.E.R because she plays all kinds of instruments while performing. She is amazing and practically her own band and backup singer.
What is your favorite part about music lessons?
My favorite part is when Mr. Matthew teaches me different sections and when I put all of those sections together to create a song.
What advice would you give to a violin student just starting out at MSM?
I would say that you should try your best to pay attention to practicing and your teacher so you don’t forget parts of your songs.
