Which Microphone Should I Get?
Generally, we recommend cardioid condenser microphone with usb connectivity for ease of use. Cardioid refers to a directional pattern in which the microphone picks up the sound. Simply, cardioid will pick up any sound that is in front of the microphone (there are microphones that pick up sounds from the sides or the back!)

Microphone For Phone/Tablet
With phones and tablets, it gets a bit tricky but can be done. We recommend buying the above cardioid condenser microphone with usb connectivity or find other microphones with standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. Depending on your connectivity (headphone jack, usb-c, etc), you may have to buy a separate adapter to ensure usage with your device. For example, newer Iphone user must have a “dongle” to connect standard audio 3.5mm cord. Please note that most microphones do come with usb connectivity which you would need to purchase an adapter to connect your device. Do not purchase Clip-on (omnidirectional) mics as the usage for these microphones is different and not effective for music transmission.
