Say Hello to Emma!

Emma is a piano and violin student at Moon School of Music and was nominated by Ms. Zoe Xu for November Student of the Month. Congratulations!

Emma is a fast learner and a talented musician. She consistently maintains a regular practice schedule and is enjoying steady progress as a result. She is always prepared for her lessons and often goes above and beyond expectations for her assigned tasks. I can feel her strong passion for music and learning piano! I’ve enjoyed teaching Emma so much and am really proud of her hard work!

How long have you been playing your instrument?

I have been playing piano for about a year. 

What is your favorite subject at school?

My favorite subject at school is language arts because I love writing.

What type of music do you like to listen to?

I like to listen to movie soundtracks and pop music. 

Who is your favorite musician? Why?

My favorite musician is John Williams. He has composed a lot of my favorite movie theme songs. 

What is your favorite part about music lessons?

My favorite part of music lessons is learning lots of different types of new songs. 

What advice would you give to a student just starting out at MSM? 

My advice to a new student would be to practice everyday and have fun. 

Anything else you would like to share with us?

I also play the violin and I love that too.
